The title of this Mele Mural is “Ho`okahe Wai Ho`oulu `Āina” which means “When the water flows, the land thrives.”
Paper size is 14 inches by 11 inches. Image size is 12 inches by 9 inches. This print comes shipped with a board backing, a mat boarder, and a sealed, clear, acid-free plastic bag.

Originally painted at Kaimukī High Schoolʻs campus in October 2015, the print captures the painting by Estria Miyashiro and the students of Kaleo Hanohano Akimʻs Hospitality Academy for their first Mele Murals project. The portrait of Mānoaʻs rainbow maiden, Kahalaopuna, shows how the water flows from her hands to tell the message of “Mauka to Makai” (from the mountain to the sea) and how we must keep our streams clean to mālama (take care) our land and ocean.
